IHS and Prairie Band Health Services are seeking an adventurous and compassionate Women's Heath, OBGYN or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our care team at the Uintah-Ouray Service Unit in Fort Duchesne, Utah.This full-time contract role is more than just a job-it's an opportunity to make a lasting impact in a community that deeply values wellness, tradition, and connection.You'll thrive in a supportive outpatient and urgent care setting, where your passion for women's health is met with purpose and appreciation.If you're ready for a career shift that brings both professional fulfillment and personal balance, we'd love to connect!Schedule:--- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM--- 40 hours per week--- No weekends or federal holidaysContract Details:--- Full-time 1099 Government Contractor Position--- Initial 3 -6 month contract with potential extensions--- Start Date: August 2025--- Experience with Indian Health Services (IHS) or Tribal Health preferred--- Prior contract/travel experience a plus--- Local/regional applicants encouraged to apply--- Can work on any US License--- Must have 2 years of experience as an NP --- Must have OB/GYN experienceCheck out the facility here: https://www.ihs.gov/Phoenix/healthcarefacilities/uintahouray/Primary Responsibilities:--- Deliver comprehensive outpatient OB/GYN care to women of all ages.--- Perform routine women's health exams, prenatal/postnatal care, contraception counseling, and STI management.--- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic gynecological issues.--- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support continuity of care.--- Prescribe medications and order labs/imaging in accordance with IHS formulary.--- Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EHR systems.--- Adhere to IHS protocols, infection control, and safety standards.--- Educate patients on wellness, disease prevention, and treatment plans.--- Support quality improvement and population health initiatives. Additional Duties:Other duties may be assigned as needed. • Certified Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC
• Minimum 2 years of experience in OB/GYN, Women's Health, or related field
• Active, unrestricted license from any U.S. State or territory
• Current DEA license
• Current BLS certification (ACLS and PALS preferred)
• Proof of education (diploma or transcripts required)
• Must be a U.S. Citizen residing primarily in the United States
